Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how HireMe handles information when you use hireme.so, app.hireme.so, or the HireMe browser extension.
It covers information you give us directly, information created while you use the product, and limited technical data we use to run, secure, and improve the service.
Information We Collect
- Account information such as your name, email address, and profile image when you sign in with Google.
- Content you create or upload, including resumes, cover letters, master resumes, job descriptions, interview prep, and application-tracking data.
- Billing details from Stripe such as your customer ID, plan, subscription status, and payment status. We do not store your full card number.
- Usage and device data such as pages visited, feature interactions, browser details, and logs used for analytics, debugging, and abuse prevention.
- Job-posting data captured through the browser extension, such as role title, company, location, posting URL, and job-description content.
How We Use Information
- To sign you in, create your account, and keep your session working.
- To generate, tailor, and edit resumes, cover letters, ATS insights, interview prep, and other AI features you request.
- To save your documents, applications, preferences, and billing status across devices.
- To process purchases, trials, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and billing support requests.
- To improve product quality, understand usage, troubleshoot issues, and prevent fraud, spam, and misuse.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms and security controls.
Service Providers and AI Processing
HireMe uses trusted third-party providers to run the product. Today that includes Google for sign-in, OpenAI for AI features, Stripe for billing, Convex for product data, Vercel for hosting, and Google Analytics for product analytics.
When you use AI features, we may send the relevant inputs, such as resume content, job descriptions, prompts, and editing instructions, to our AI providers so they can generate the result you asked for.
Retention and Security
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, but no online service can promise absolute security. You should avoid uploading information you would not want processed by HireMe or its providers.
Your Choices
- You can update most of your profile, resume, and application content inside the product.
- You can manage billing through the Stripe portal linked from the app.
- You can stop using the browser extension at any time by disabling or uninstalling it.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, subject to legal and operational limits.
Children's Privacy
HireMe is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
